Sometimes in need of immediate veterinary attention due to neglect or trauma. Sometimes simply unwanted or abandoned. We take in as many of the dogs as we legally and practically can at any one time.

The two key areas we assess when any dog enters the sanctuary are 'Physical Welfare' and 'Psychological Trauma'. With the aid of our trusted local vet, we treat and rehabilitate all of our dogs to give them the best chance for a long, happy life.

Many Spanish hunting dogs are abandoned or surrendered when their working life comes to an end. Where possible we find these dogs loving forever homes to live out their days in retirement and peace.

The ultimate goal for all of our dogs and pups is to find them a loving, safe and secure forever home, where they will become part of the family, loved and cherished until the end of their days. 

Sadly every day dogs go missing from their beloved homes through no fault of their own. At the FFH sanctuary we aim to help lost dogs in Spain to reunite with their loving families.
