The FFH Gang

While we try to re-home as many dogs as possible, there will always be some who need to stay with the sanctuary permanently.

Sky

The bosses girl, Sky belongs to Chelsea and moved with her from Hastings back before the pandemic. Sky is partial to a tennis ball or two but above all else is dedicated to her 'rock', a pet of sorts that she religiously barks at and turns through-out the day.

Sky inspects all new residents at the sanctuary and helps them to settle into there new routine, not afraid to let the other dogs know when they've stepped out of line, she is a valuable asset to assist with rehabilitating and integrating new dogs.

Dave

Dippy Dave joined Chelsea and Sky early on in their journey, he's been by their side protecting the family for the last few years.

He is by most definitions the typical 'Dave', he takes his security role seriously but is the kind of fella who'd also wolf-whistle at passing females, pop his legs up on the desk and have a cuppa whilst browsing the Daily Sport of a morning, you know the type?!

Loving, gentle and playful, Dave is fantastic at introducing puppies to large breed dogs and he adores a good zoomie session with his best mate Abelina.

Abelina

Our Abelina, a boxer and staffy cross.

The photo's here are of our girl looking great but this isn't how she has always been.

Chelsea came across Abelina in a Spanish pound, She was filthy and had 7 tiny sleeping pups hidden under her belly. "Instantly my heart sank and I had to take Abelina and all her pups home. SO THAT'S JUST WHAT I DID." - Chelsea FFH

Due to past traumatic events Abelina is not suitable for re-homing, and overtime has become a member of the FFH Gang family, all 7 of the pups went off to happy and amazing loving forever homes.

There are lots of memories and moments that have been made with Abelina and her pups and we look forward to sharing some of these with you in the future.

Tyson

Tyson is a stunning 2 year old bouncing bully boy. His journey began when he was brought as a pup by a young lad with the best of intentions. The owner wasn't able to be around much, so Tyson was left alone, without the most basic of training and socialisation with other dogs. The owner bravely made the right decision to surrender Tyson so that he might find a home able to offer him the time and attention he needed.

Since Tyson was surrendered he has been fully health checked and now receives daily medication to help with his  digestion. He has completed his rehabilitation with Finding Forever Homes, learning  to be social with dogs of all sizes and ages, learning house rules, walking on the lead as well as basic command training.  It had been our intention to re-home Tyson, however his boisterous nature and possibly recurring separation anxiety meant that he would need a very special home. A home had been found in the UK but unfortunately due to the UK bully ban Chelsea has decided that Tyson will remain at the sanctuary, part of the FFH gang on a permanent basis. He'll be assisting Dave and Abelina with security and getting plenty of cuddles indoors with Chelsea and Sky.
